If you’ve got a new scruff growing out, help kill the itch and go with beard oil. While beard oil is good for the beard, it’s really a solid item for the skin (at any stage of growth). Truthfully, we suggest always using beard oil. As your beard comes in a bit longer add balm or butter to your routine. The butter works wonders to help keep things looking good and natural, and when you really wanna get rocking- the beard balm is killer at helping to tame and style the mane! Personally, we like to mix it up depending on the day …

Both product types leverage premium natural butters, and carrier oils (also essential oils if applicable). The main difference is in formulation and inclusion of beeswax. The butter is smooth stuff, melts right in and helps your beard’s natural weight create the look- benefiting from a trifecta of mango, cocoa, and shea butter. While the balm captures the butter benefits, it also leverages beeswax, for a nice stylish hold.

Awesomeness, lots of it. Our blend of natural carrier oils is a high step above most. Each oil was selected due to it’s unique fatty acid benefits, with careful formulation and blending to create the B&R products you love. Abyssinian Oil, Avocado Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Babassu Oil, Almond Oil, Castor Oil, natural Vitamin E Oil + Essential Oils (depending on the blend) come together to help your face benefit from bearded perfection.

The best answer would be somewhere in the middle, trending towards lighter. Of course, it really depends how much you use! Some folks like to wash and put a heavy amount on at night for a deep treatment (we see you Castor Oil lovers), and others like to do a few drops just to kill the itch and help smooth things over. Half the fun is figuring out what works best for you!

Your beard is natural, so what you put in it should be also. Essential Oils are packed with different benefits for your skin and beard, plus they smell great. Fragrances alone, while they are cheap products that can create a long smelling scent (that can be a pain to wash out), just don’t offer anything in the same realm generally regarding potential benefits. Couple that with concerns regarding synthetic scents increasing scent sensitization/irritation…. we decided it was best to stay true and natural with Essential Oils. We wanted our beard products to be more than just a pretty scent…cuz dude, c’mon…you’re a man.
